ADOS LEVEL I, II, & III TRAINING

 

ADOS Level I Workshop

The 2-day workshop teaches the attendees how to use the ADOS in clinical practice or educational assessment to assess and diagnose or determine eligibility of autism. Our expert training staff will describe the ADOS and demonstrate administration and scoring for educational eligibility. Instructional methods include lecture, videotaped administration and scoring, and discussion. Participants will have the opportunity to practice scoring while observing the administration of the ADOS. Participants will also have practice administering the ADOS.

 

The workshop is designed for clinicians and educational personal with a prior background in autism and formal testing, for example: physicians, psychologists, school psychologists, educational diagnosticians, speech/language pathologists, occupational therapists, counselors, and social workers. Individuals with less background in testing but who provide service for individuals and families affected by autism may take the workshop for informational purposes. This workshop is limited to 25 participants, each team should bring their test kit.

 

 

ADOS Level II Workshop

This workshop is designed for advanced practice in administration and scoring of the ADOS. Participants are required to complete at least 5 assessments prior to attending. Participants will observe video presentations and score individually which will be checked for inter-rater reliability. Participants will also demonstrate their skills in administration of selected module setups and receive corrective feedback from the instructor. The workshop concludes with an overview of a complete assessment for ASD. This workshop is limited to 15 participants, we will need 3 test kits.

 

 

ADOS Level III Workshop

This workshop is designed to develop mentors and give additional advanced practice in administration and scoring of the ADOS. Participants are required to have completed at least 10 assessments and to bring one completed assessment and give a brief summary to the group. Participants will observe video presentations and score individually which will be checked for inter-rater reliability. Participants will also demonstrate their skills in administration of selected modules and receive corrective feedback from the instructor. The workshop concludes with a discussion of borderline cases. This workshop is limited to 15 participants, we will need 3 test kits.

 

 

 

 

Upon completion of 2-day workshops, participants will receive a certificate of completion that is equivalent to 12 contact hours of professional continuing educational credit for the workshop attended. Sign-in is at 7:30 a.m. each morning, with the workshop running from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with morning, lunch, and afternoon breaks.
