Autism
Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS):
The ADOS has become the standard instrument for assessing
autism and PDD across age, developmental level, and
language skills. Dr. Barbara Webb offers 2-day workshops
where participants will learn how to use the ADOS to
assess, determine educational eligibility, and develop
present levels of functioning. Instructional methods
of the workshop will include lecture, a videotaped demonstration
of administration, hands-on practice administration,
scoring, and discussion. The workshop gives 12 contact
hours of continuing education. Workshop is equivalent
to WPS-sponsored workshops.
School Psychologists, Speech/Language Pathologists,
and Occupational Therapists are strongly urged to participate
in the workshop. Additional participants may include
Special Education Teachers, Social Workers, and Behavioral
Interventionists. It is beneficial for a school team
to participate together to develop a better understanding
of assessment procedures and eligibility decisions of
Autism Spectrum Disorders. Maximum 25 participants per
workshop, recommend 12 – 16 participants.
We
provide 3 levels of trainings to best meet the participants
skill level and depth of need. CLICK
